Rdzeń z włókna szklanego jest opleciony przędzą szklaną teksturowaną. Uzyskany sznur nadaje się znakomicie do izolowania elementów maszyn i urządzeń pracujących w temperaturach do 500°C. Dodatkową zaletą w pewnych zastosowaniach jest to, że powstały sznur nie zawiera elementów metalowych.
