Product description

Pigment-free solvent primer for a variety of substrates in shipbuilding applications. It reacts with air humidity to form a thin film that acts as a link between substrates and adhesives. The product has been specially formulated for surface preparation prior to the application of Sika's one-component polyurethane adhesive.

Application

The primer is used to improve adhesion to many different metals, incl. aluminum, steel, galvanized steel, non-ferrous metals and also for wood such as pine, mahogany, teak, Oregon and cork. It also increases the adhesion of sealants and adhesives in Sikasil.
